Lech-Lecha לך-לך's Intergenerational White Mountains Hut-to-Hut Trek will explore the gorgeous Galehead Mountain Region of the White Mountains, hiking from cozy AMC hut to hut from Wednesday to Friday, spending a tranquil, uplifting Shabbat at the Galehead Hut.
We invite participants to either join for our trek's entirety from Wednesday through Sunday or jumping in on Friday with a 4-mile hike up to our cabin for an incredible Shabbat together.
Our intergenerational adventures invites all ages, with a particular focus on parents and children. Programming in addition to the exploratory context of nature will encourage the bridging of generational gaps, learning and sharing with one another, opening our hearts to encouraging and supportive conversation as we continue to grow together.
Sleeping arrangements in the cozy AMC cabins involve separate rooms for male and female participants, sleeping on comfortable yet simple beds in our rustic wooden framed abode. Wood burning stoves will warm us up from the post-winter chill, but make sure to bring your hats and gloves along to protect from the lingering cold.
Hiking will be of Intermediate difficulty, with significant altitude gain and post-winter trail conditions. We will be carrying our personal gear on our backs, including our water and sleeping bags, so a large pack is required, but without tents and communal gear hiked in prior, your light pack will limit hiking difficulty.
