* Yoga, journaling, Jewish learning and meditation
* Stargazing and campfire Shabbat celebration
* Menorah lighting (did someone say latkes...?)
* Music, games and wonderful friends

Meet Your Trek Leader
Simon Itaaliander is thrilled to be with Lech-Lecha. I'm from Atlanta, GA and have bounced around the world a bit before landing in my current home: New York City. I teach 8th grade at a local Jewish Day School and partake in my own treks from time to time. During the year I'm a city guy, but in the summer I love nothing more than getting on the trails, covering some miles, and enhancing my Jewish spirituality through nature.

All adventures and retreats are all inclusive, kosher, and shomer Shabbat, honoring individual practice and fully supporting observance of mitzvot. Friday afternoon has always been the peak of every Lech-Lecha trip, as we prepare by cooking dinner and bringing intention into our Shabbat together. Information about what to bring, including a packing list, will be emailed to you following registration.
Tales from the Trail
"Lech-Lecha was such a unique and special experience. The opportunity to celebrate Shabbat in the woods and focus on the present moment helped me connect to Judaism spiritually in a way that I hadn't done in a long time. I also enjoyed meeting a lovely group of other Jewish young adults from all different backgrounds, and felt like the discussions we had and the traditions we shared with each other enriched the trip."
